I have major issues with following through on many things. I start projects but never complete them, such as cross stitch, beading, scrapbooks, etc. When I signed up for my first 1/2 marathon that I ran this past October, I had great aspirations, but I didn’t train properly. I barely ran prior to the race and my longest run was 9 miles the Wednesday before the race, I never even ran 13.1 miles prior to race day. Despite the improper training I still managed to run this race in 2h 5 min, a great time that left me wondering what I could accomplish if I actually followed through on a training plan.
- I have created a training schedule that I plan to import into my google calendar as appointments that cannot be missed
- I have started this blog, making me accountable not only to myself but also to all my followers.
- I have told everyone I know about my goal of a sub 2 hour 1/2 marathon.
I am hoping by taking these steps I will follow through and make everyone including myself proud. Whether or not I actually run a sub 2 hour 1/2 marathon remains to be seen, but I will know that I tried my best and did everything in my power to achieve my goal.
I had a recovery protein shot after to hopefully eliminate some of the soreness I anticipate I will feel tommorrow:
