My plans for my 10 mile run today was to split it in two due to the bad weather here in NY. I didn’t think I could bear 10 miles on the treadmill, but I was wrong. I woke up this morning with a raging headache and I could not get out of bed to go to the gym. Abby had a bad night and she was up crying at 3 am, 4 am and then at 5 am which led to broken sleep and my massive headache. I finally got up around 8:15, took Advil, ate breakfast, blogged and at 10:00 am I headed to the gym with the intent of running as much as my body would allow.

10 miles in 1:34:48 an average pace of 9:28/mile.
I got on the treadmill and just ran, I felt great from the beginning and knew I was going to be able to do the whole 10 miles. I kept the pace between 6.0 mph and 6.5 mph with a sprint of 8.0 mph for the last 1/4 mile. The reason for the 2 pictures is that even though there is no time limit at my gym the treadmill shuts off after 60 minutes, so I stopped it after 6 miles and then restarted the treadmill to finish out the last 4 miles.
Some days running feels great and today was one of those days. I also gained some motivation thinking of Terry Hitchcock from My Run, when I thought about him running a marathon every day for 75 days I figured the least I could do was run 10 miles. I didn’t split the run like I originally planned to day because I got such a late start that I knew I would never get back to the gym later in the day, plus the run was going so good there was no reason for me to stop.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!! I have work and a 4 mile run planned for Sunday.
