Dear Mother Nature,
I am asking you kindly in advance if you could please make May 1st a sunny, non-windy, 50-60 degree day. Your help is greatly appreciated.
I ran 4 miles today and the temperature was perfect at 57 degrees but the wind was another story. I thought I headed out in the right direction to run with the wind for the bulk of my run but I was wrong. With 16 mph winds with gusts up to 32 mph it didn’t seem to matter which way I ran because I seemed to be running against the wind the whole time.
- Mile 1: 8:06
- Mile 2: 8:37
- Mile 3: 9:01 (against major wind gusts!!)
- Mile 4: 8:32 ( negative split)
- Total: 34:17 average pace 8:34
Considering the wind almost killed me today overall it was still a great run, had it not been windy I would definitely had a PR for 4 miles but there is always next time.
