The opportunity to practice yoga without any distractions is rare and today I had that opportunity. When I got home from work the house was empty and quiet, so seized the moment to practice yoga in peace.
I was able to complete a 30 minute Baron Baptiste DVD without interruption, amazing. I forgot how great it feels to just be able to flow between poses with my breath and have the feeling of total relaxation. Usually I have Abby running in and out of the room, not ideal for the meditative yoga practice I had become accustomed to pre-Abby.
I’m sure that it will be quite awhile before I have an opportunity like this again, but that is okay too. As much as I love being alone every once in awhile, I love the chaos that is defined by having a two year old more. The benefits of being with my family, interruptions and all, far outweigh the benefits of a completely peaceful yoga practice.

I agree the family is more important than having time by myself but there are times it would sure be nice (lol).
Thank you for swinging by 2 Against 1 and linking up to the TGIF blog hop (Friday). Hope to see you again next week! Following back now.
I hear you. I used to do a lot pre-children, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Sometimes when I am home alone, it's TOO quiet!
I am your newest follower from the weekend blog hops! Hopefully, you can visit us and follow back! Have a great day!

Hi, there! New follower! I just want to say kudos to you for the yoga thing because I tried a yoga class once- thinking it would be an easy exercise- and nearly died. It was so challenging… I wanted to lay down on my mat and take a nap after about 15 minutes.
Anyway, cheers! Happy Sunday!
