Judgement Day May 21, 2011….not likely, but according to preacher Harold Camping that is the day the world will end. The Earth will be ravaged by a global earthquake just before 6 pm, all the good will go to Heaven and the rest will be left to suffer for 5 months when God destroys the universe. Possible, I suppose. Likely, I don’t think so. The Bible says no one will know when the world is going to end except God, plus this is the second time Camping has predicted the end, he also predicted the world would end in 1994. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
The purpose of my blog today is not to write about some prediction but to write about life and death in general. Although we may not know when the world is going to end, we do know that one day the world will end for us, most likely without notice. There may be no chances for goodbye so make sure the people in your life that you love know it.
We need to live in the present, to appreciate life and all it has to offer because this is not a dress rehearsal we only get one shot to live the life we want and deserve. Live as if each day were your last. Work to achieve your goals and your dreams because anything is possible, we make our own path and only ourselves can hold us back from moving forward.
Are you happy with your life and what you have accomplished? Do you surround yourself with people that love and support you no matter what? Can you honestly say if you died tomorrow that you have made a life that you loved living? If the answer is no then change it, do something about it now. If you are in an unhappy situation then get out of it. Make yourself happy, you deserve it.
I know all of what I’m saying is not easy, but everyday you can make small changes to live the life you want to live. We all deserve happiness. Life is not perfect and things may not go as planned or happen as quickly as you’d like but just working toward a goal can make you happy. Don’t put off to tomorrow what you can do today. Start right now…..you won’t regret it.
I have come to a point in my life where I am genuinely happy, okay not everyday, but overall I love my life. I have a beautiful family, a great career and a blossoming blog……through my career and blog I touch lives everyday and this makes me happy. Life is what you make of it, you don’t have to have a lot of money (I certainly don’t) to be happy, it can help of course but it is not necessary. Life is about people, the connections we make and the lives we build together, that is what makes us rich not money. All the money in the world can’t buy you true love and happiness.
If the world were to end on Saturday I am happy with how I have lived my life and with the people I share it with, but somehow I think we will all be waking up on Sunday morning to live another week or so.
