I had the opportunity thanks to ExerciseTV to preview The Butt Bible prior to it’s release, maybe they saw a pic of me on my blog and thought that my butt could use a lift which is absolutely true. My butt has always been my biggest problem area, bigger than most and definitely more saggy with some cellulite here and there, I was not blessed with a beautiful butt. I think for most women the butt is an area we are always looking to improve and if this is the case than The Butt Bible is for you.
The 6 workouts consist of 3 levels for upper body and lower body, level one is 20 minutes, level 2 is 30 minutes and level 3 is 40 minutes. The equipment required for these workouts are dumbbells, a body bar (I used dumbbells because I don’t have a body bar), a mat and a chair. If you are a beginner you can certainly do these exercises without any weights and you will get just as an effective workout and if you are an athlete or someone who has been working out a long time then feel free to increase the weights to add extra intensity if you need it. You can customize this workout to your current athletic level without a problem.
I did each of these workouts in order starting with level 1 working my way up to level 3 using 10 lb. dumbbells for my lower body and 5 lb. dumbbells for my upper body. My butt was burning after each and every workout, Pauline even includes butt work in the upper body workouts, after all this is The Butt Bible. I could barely make it through the 3rd level of the lower body because my butt was burning, the sweat was pouring off of me which is the signal of an intense workout. The upper body workouts did not disappoint, they were challenging and rounded out the program nicely, you can’t just work your butt you need to have a nice upper body too!!
Pauline keeps you motivated throughout all the workouts, even when I wanted to give up Pauline kept me going to the end of each and every workout. She tells you over and over again through the whole workout that in order to have a nice butt you need to work and if you put in the effort you will get the butt of your dreams. These workouts are not easy, they are hard but if you listen to Pauline and follow her program I have no doubt that my butt is going to improve and so can yours.
