Holiday Weekends are long and tiring, partly because I have to work the whole weekend and partly because of the BBQ’s. The weekend ends up consisting of very little exercise with a lot of overindulgence in food and drink. This weekend we stayed home both Saturday and Sunday, I even managed to sneak in some exercise on both days. Monday we had a BBQ at my in-laws and then our friend Steve came over to hang out and watch fireworks. The weekend extended into Tuesday because Chris was off, so we took the kids to Splish Splash, a local water park on Long Island.
It was fun while it lasted but alas reality has reared it’s ugly head and it is time to get back on track, both in exercise and healthy eating. Tomorrow I am very excited to be trying a CrossFit class for the first time with a friend, I let you know how it goes. I have decided to start my Half-Marathon Training on Monday July 11 while continuing to follow Supreme 90 Day and The Butt Bible.
