To get my runs in I have been waking up at 5:15 so I can get to the gym by 5:30 and back home by 6:30-7:00. If I wait to run until after work 95% of the time I will not get it done. I always lay out my gym clothes and have everything ready so when I wake up I can jump or crawl out of bed and go…..no excuses.
Wake up, get dressed, hit the gym. This is my action mantra for the week (you will learn more about action mantras on my HLS recap tomorrow).
- 1 mile warmup at 6.2 mph
- 1/4 mile at 7.5 mph alternating with 1/4 mile at 6.5 mph for 3 miles
- 1 mile cool down at 6.2 mph
- Total: 5 miles in 45:12
Last night my legs were extremely sore and I thought about not running today so I tweeted.
