It’s Wednesday and I am exhausted. Working full-time from 8-4 these past few days has completely wiped me out, much more than I thought it would. I suppose my body just needs some time to adjust to my new schedule. Hopefully by next week I won’t be feeling quite as tired.
Working out while working 8-4 has posed another challenge but I have managed to still fit exercise in on most days. Yesterday I got up at 5 am, went to the gym and completed a 4 miles of interval work on the treadmill. I was supposed to run again this morning but not only was I too tired to get up early my legs were also super sore from yesterdays speedwork, so I skipped my morning run in favor of rest. I have to adjust my training plan to allow for a rest the day after I do speedwork so I don’t end up injuring myself. I learn something new about my body all the time during training and sometimes the plan needs to be adjusted to fit my needs and my body’s needs.
