Thank God It’s Friday!!!! My first week of being a full-time home care nurse has come to an end and I am thrilled to be off the weekend. It is going to be so nice to spend time with the whole family without having to worry about work on Saturday and Sunday especially since I am completely exhausted. I didn’t realize how much working all week would actually impact my body. I actually slept from 7pm last night to 7am this morning, I guess my body needed the rest.
Trying to balance work, working out and blogging is much harder than it looks.
Working out: I did manage to complete the #Fitblog Challenge!!! 3500 ab reps in 35 days!!! I had planned to workout 5 days this week but only managed 3, not too bad but not what I planned. My left shin has been achy since my speed work Tuesday so running has been out for most of the week and instead of my long run tomorrow I plan to roller blade 10 miles with my husband while pushing the jogging stroller.
Blogging: I had planned to continue blogging on a daily basis but for now I think I am going to cut down to a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule just until I get used to working full time again. I love blogging and don’t want to give it so I feel my blog will be more informative and entertaining if I reduce my schedule to 3 days a week rather than pressuring myself to blog 7 days a week. We will see how it goes and if I am up to it I may even throw in a blog or two on Saturday and Sunday.
Life is a balancing act and I am just getting y bearings trying to figure out how to do it all. I am confident after a few weeks of working full time I will find a schedule that works for me and hopefully I will be feeling less tired.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!!! I know I will because I am finally OFF!!!!!
