Today starts my second week of the 10 Pound Slimdown Xtreme 28 day challenge plus I am starting a 5 day Shakeology challenge thanks to Maria from the Fitness Zealot. Exercise I have down pat, I love to exercise and usually once I get started have no problem following through…..now I wish I could say the same goes for nutrition….enter the 5 day Shakeology Challenge.
My problem with nutrition is that when I crave something, good or bad, I have a problem resisting. I’d say my diet is 60% good, 40% bad which is not so good in the perspective of gaining lets say a six pack….one of my goals for the last few months, unachieved I’d say mostly related to not so good nutrition. If I want to meet my goals I have to change my eating habits to at least 90% good and 10% bad, we all have to be a little bad sometimes….right?
When I saw on Facebook (which apparently has other uses than sucking time) that my friend Maria, the Fitness Zealot was hosting a 5 Day Shakeology Challenge I jumped right on that wagon. I’ve heard a lot about Shakeology and it’s benefits so this was the perfect time to try it out while getting my eating habits under control. I swear and you can ask anyone that knows me and has seen me eat that if my metabolism wasn’t so fast I would most certainly weigh 300 pounds easy. Thank god for a good metabolism and my love of running and exercise!!!
Anyway, back to the point……Maria who also has 2 other fantastic blogs (Huff and Buff and Two Belles Fitness) created this fantastic challenge at the perfect time. So today I have started the Shakeology Challenge where I replace one meal with a Shakeology shake, eat healthy for my other 2 meals and exercise at least 30 minutes a day. We will see where this challenge takes me…..hopefully down the road to a healthier eating pattern.
