My first blogger meet up was great!!!  Believe it or not I have lived on Long Island my whole life and this was the first time I ventured into the city on my own.

Sunday morning I jumped on the train and headed to the city to meet up with a few of the other bloggers for my first attempt at hot yoga.  I arrived in the city at 9:45 am and managed to get to the yoga studio in 7 minutes without getting lost!!! As usual I arrived way too early but I’d rather be early than late, so I just waited on the stoop until the yoga studio opened.

Hot yoga NYC Blogger Playdate Recap

I met up with 4 other bloggers at the studio, Yoga To The People: Keelie from Sweat=Success, Lynda from Healthy Hoboken Girl, Juliette from Finish Your Broccoli and Ashley from Freckles and Spice. We were basically stuck in a room heated to 105 degrees with about 10 other people plus the instructor for 90 minutes.  We were told we couldn’t leave the room during the 90 minutes of torturous sweaty yoga and if we felt sick we should just lie down.  As it turned out I loved the class, I was able to participate in about 90% of it but I did get a little dizzy and nauseous a couple of times so I just laid down as instructed.  My muscles have never felt so good and I don’t think a have ever sweat so much……but I survived and I do plan and taking more hot yoga classes.

After class I had the best cold shower ever!!!  We all showered and freshened up before meeting the rest of the bloggers at brunch.  I’d say we all cleaned up really well!!!

  1. Looks like you had a lovely day, I don’t know how you do that hot yoga… it looks very challenging. I would suggest that you use <a href=www.citymaps.com<Citymaps when you go into the city, I know you didn’t get lost this time.. but sounds like you might have before. (It’s almost impossible not to). LOL. Enjoy

  2. Nice recap….had a great day with you! We survived hot yoga…yikes!! Hope to see you soon!!
