Manic Monday……..after a crazy weekend Monday is here and as usual the morning is a mad rush to get out of the house on time to drop my older daughter off at school and get to work. Abby was supposed to start full day school today but of course she is sick….hopefully she will be better tomorrow.
Thursday was the first time I ran since the Diva’s 1/2 and I am happy to say I had no shin pain!!!!! I am unhappy to say that I ran with my orthotics and they pretty much suck……I have pain in both my left foot and knee when I run with them. I need to make it a point to get back to the podiatrist with in the next few weeks to have them adjusted…..I mean I paid a lot of money for a pair of orthotics that are not helping me 🙁 Saturday I ran with my minimalist shoes and I had no issues…shin pain gone and the rest of my feet and legs felt good too!!!
I also completed 3 of the 4 Yoga Bootcamp workouts on my schedule and let me tell you these workouts are tough. They are stretch and strength all built into one, you definitely need a lot of arm strength and balance for these workouts!! I am hoping by the end of the 4 week I will be able to complete the whole workouts without modifications.
I am ready for a new week…..healthy eating, yoga bootcamp and running. Saturday I have the Rock ‘N’ Roll 10K in NYC and I am looking forward to possibly scoring a new PR…we will see.
