I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!! Mine was quiet with just me, my husband, my grandma and my 2 girls but it was great anyway. I started my day by prepping the turkey which needed to get in the oven by 10:30 so we could at about 3. I used my new collapsable roaster that I won from Opensky last week!!! If you haven’t heard of it Opensky is a great site where you follow curators and get great sales-sign up here it’s free! (If you sign up via this link I get credit!)
After the Turkey was prepped I headed out for my Turkey Trot. I signed up for Daily Mile’s Feed The Turkey Virtual 5K, I was going to run an actual Turkey Trot race but the time just slipped away so I just ran the Virtual 5K.
You still have time to sign up if you want to run it and all donation proceeds go to charity:water!! Stay fit and donate to a great cause!!
My race results:
I earned my turkey dinner!!! We had Rachael Ray’s Caesar stuffed eggs for an appetizer and they were delish!! Dinner consisted of turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes (with marshmallow-mmmm!), corn casserole (corn, swiss cheese, onion, an egg, cream and breadcrumbs on top-so delicious!), cranberry sauce, and of course stuffing!!! The turkey came out perfect but of course I forgot to take a pic before my husband carved it 🙁 Dessert was a fantastic pumpkin cheesecake that my friend Breanne of Bre’s Sweet treats dropped by last night as a surprise!! Thanks Breanne, the best cheesecake ever….even Chris loved it and he doesn’t even like cheesecake!
After all the food plus dessert I am definitely in a food coma….tired, which is not from the turkey…apparently when you too much food your body goes into overdrive to digest it all which makes you tired, not the tryptophan in the turkey…although I am sure that doesn’t help matters. Tomorrow is a new day, maybe I should fast..lol!!!
How was your Thanksgiving?
