Where does the week go?? Normally I would be thrilled to see Friday but not when I’m on vacation because that means the vacation is coming to an end 🙁 Three more days and it is back to work. In all actuality going back to work is not necessarily such a bad thing considering it is actually easier for me to stay on track with healthy eating when I am working than when I am off. This week hasn’t been too bad but with my husband off we have been indulging in restaurant food more than usual, hopefully I have burned enough calories to compensate!
On to my Friday favorites:
As you all know I have been struggling with shin splints since the beginning of the year and I have been searching for any way to alleviate my shin splints and the pain associated with them. During my search I received the recommendation on Twitter to try out Tommie Copper compression wear and after looking into Tommie Copper I knew I had to give it a go! Tommie Copper was nice enough to send me their calf and ankle compression sleeves to try out:
Tommie Copper compression wear is meant to be comfortable enough to be worn all day long and the unique combination of compression with copper is supposed to help provide pain relief, promote muscle recovery and reduce inflammation. After trying out Tommie Copper for a few weeks I would have to completely agree!!! The compression wear was so comfortable I never wanted to take it off, not even at night. I was a little skeptical about the this compression wear providing pain relief, but much to my surprise it actually did just that!!!
I have pretty much lived in my Tommie Copper compression wear since I received them with the exception of one weekend. I took the weekend off to see if I felt a difference when I didn’t wear them and my shin actually started to ache without them so I have decided to keep them on forever…..okay not forever but on most days I wear my Tommie Copper compression sleeves under my pants. They are so comfy you barely know that they are there!!!!
I still use my CEP’s during exercise but I prefer Tommie Copper for everyday wear!!! If you like wearing compression I would definitely recommend investing in these!!! You can also find Tommie Copper on their website, Facebook and Twitter.
Disclosure: I received the Tommie Copper Compression for free. All opinions expressed in this blog are my 100% my own and I was not compensated in any other way for my review.
This awesome machine turns frozen bananas (and other fruit) into a creamy, healthy treat that tastes like soft serve ice cream!!! I happen to adore banana ice cream and usually have a hard time finding it so the fact that I can now create it at home has me jumping for joy!!!
My first Yonanas creation was a dark chocolate banana combination that rocked, even my husband enjoyed it!!!
The only thing I would do differently is that I would freeze the bananas when they are overripe so they come out sweeter, otherwise it was perfect. Yonanas just isn’t for bananas either, you can use any type of frozen fruit you like to make sorbet!!! You can also find Yonanas on their website, Facebook and Twitter.
My last favorite this week has been the weather!!! Yesterday the temperature hit 61 degrees…in February….in the middle of what should be winter.
I’m not sure this is such a good thing for out environment but I am loving being able to be to enjoy the outdoors in February!!!!
That concludes my favorites for this week!! I hope everyone has a great weekend!!! Good luck to everyone running the Princess Half Marathon this weekend!!!!
What are your favorite things this week?
