I really needed this quote this week, it inspires me to keep pushing through the rough runs. I increased my mileage on Wednesday to 3 miles and boy was it hard 🙁 It’s not like I expected that after 6 weeks off I could just pick up where I left off but I just hoped it would be easier. Starting over again like beginning runner has been humbling to say the least and honestly slightly depressing but my ultimate goal is to run injury free for a very long time and in order to do that I need to go slow.
To keep me motivated and inspired I have a few races small races coming up in the next couple of months including:
You can run this race anytime form April 1st- April 8th and the events include running 5K, 10K, Half-Marathon or biking a 21K (13 miles). You can select to do one or all if you your are feeling really ambitious!! The more you enter the more chances you have to win some great prizes!! I am running the 5K this year.
I signed up for the Joggermom Marathon back when I was injured because I figured it was yet another way to stay inspired to run while building my mileage. This run starts May 1st and runs until May 31st or until you reach 26.2 miles. You have a chance to win some great prizes so if you need an extra push you should sign up and be sure to tell them I sent you!!!
I am looking forward to running this all female race with my friend Crystal. It will nice to be part of the first race created for just females that has been around for 40 years and is still going strong!!!
My next challenge is the Sandy Hook New Jersey Danskin Triathlon!!!! I am so excited to be participating in this series and taking on a new challenge!!!! Swimming poses to be my biggest challenge but I am completely up for it!!! I plan to blog all about my training and the journey to my 1st triathlon so be sure to follow along this summer as I train!!!! More to come on this next week along with an awesome giveaway……have you ever wanted to do a triathlon?? Check out my blog next week for your chance!
Disclosure: My entry to this race was comped by Danskin, in exchange for my coverage of this event on my blog. All opinions expressed in my posts are 100% my own.
I am hoping to add a few more races to my schedule including a Half-marathon and a Marathon towards the end of the year. This week has been a struggle for me, I think problem due to hormones but I just haven’t been myself but I still pushed through running and working out even when I wanted to give up…..now that is some FitFluential #PROOF.
I am done feeling down and looking forward to a new week with new challenges!!! I am also hoping to win the 500 million dollars from the lottery tonight…..wouldn’t that be amazing!!!! I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!
What would you do with 500 million dollars?!?!
