I woke this morning feeling refreshed but sore so instead of an extra cardio day I decided to do some Yoga to stretch out my sore muscles. I popped in my favorite yoga DVD, Baron Baptiste’s Unlocking Athletic Power and 30 minutes later I felt great!! What I did finally realize during this yoga workout as much as I have been putting it off is that I desperately need a new yoga mat because I kept slipping around on the one I have which is both annoying and dangerous. I guess that is what I get for buying a cheap $9.99 yoga mat from BJ’s. Any suggestions on purchasing a new one are welcome and appreciated!
After yoga I finished up some paperwork, cleaned and just layer around until about 1 o’clock when hunger struck for lunch. I wanted to to go to Long Guyland Subs in Merrick because it is actually owned by a co-worker’s significant other and he just changed it over from a Subway to Long Guyland Subs. Chris agreed so off to Merrick we went for some subs!!
Long Guyland Subs was set up similar to Subway but the deli meat was a much better quality and so was the bread. We settled on an Italian L.I.E. sub which consisted of ham, pepperoni, salami and provolone on a whole wheat with onions, lettuce, tomato and oil and vinegar. Joe, the owner, is awesome and along with the sandwich he threw in some chocolate chop cookies for Abby……thanks Joe!!!!
The sub was delicious, I loved the bread…it was crisp and crusty on the outside and soft on the inside which equals perfection!!!! I will definitely be visiting Long Guyland Subs again!!!!
Abby especially liked the cookies!
After lunch we were sitting on the couch and my husband noticed he was missing his wedding band. He said he didn’t take it off and thought he had it on a few hours ago while he was panting but he couldn’t be sure, I was understandably upset and a frantic search ensued. I happen to love our wedding bands, they are matching and we picked them out a year before our wedding and put them on layaway because we loved them so much.
Here is my lonely wedding band:
We searched everywhere-in the shower, sinks, garbages and even through the vacuum bag without any success. I pretty much figured it was gone so we decided to put our new TV stand together and hoped the ring would turn up somewhere. The TV stand was not meant to be today because when we went through all the pieces one was broken 🙁 and it will be another 7-10 days before we get the replacement piece but during the process we found Chris’s ring!!!!
Long story short we were getting ready to put the TV stand together when my grandmother came home so I said that Chris lost his ring and if she saw it she should let me know…….low and behold she’s like I found a ring earlier on the floor of the garage. I was like why didn’t you tell us and she’s like well I though it was your sister’s ring (she happened to visit today). I mean you find a ring in my garage and don’t think to ask if we lost one………anyhow she gets the ring and it is Chris’s!!!! YAY!!! Crisis resolved!!!
So our rings were reunited:
Well that was my Saturday…how was yours?? Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead tonight!!!
