New Challenges and a Rubbermaid 2-in-1 Recycler Review and Giveaway

by Toni Church on April 30, 2012

Happy Monday!!!  Well okay, not so happy because I am back to work and I’d rather be home but in any event I am hoping for a great week!!!  Best Body Bootcamp is over and new challenges are beginning!!  I have signed up for Under Armour’s What’s Beautiful competition and my goal is to reveal my abs in approximately 8 weeks.  I will be following Jackie Warner’s new program from her book 10 Pounds in 10 Days (<–affliate link) to kick start my weight loss into gear!!!  More to come on the challenge and my stats later this week!!!

Do you recycle??? I do!!!  I recycle because I want to do my part to help keep our planet healthy but I dislike the fact that all my cans and recycle plastics sit on my counter tops until someone (usually me) decides to take them down to the garage to put them in the recycle bin.  This is why I love the new Rubbermaid 2-in-1 Recycler!!!  Check it out:

rubbermaid2 New Challenges and a Rubbermaid 2 in 1 Recycler Review and Giveaway

I love the way the recycler sits neatly in the corner of my dining room “hiding” all the recyclable items from plain sight.  The recycler keeps all my items neatly in one great container and off my counter tops which is a big plus!!!

rubbermaid1 New Challenges and a Rubbermaid 2 in 1 Recycler Review and GiveawayThe 2-in-1 Recycler has 2 bins that makes it easy for me to sort out the items I return to the store such as soda cans, water bottles, etc. and the items I put out for the recycling workers to pick up.  The top container has a fold away handle that makes it easy for me to carry everything to the garage to empty into my recycling bin.  The bottom container tilts out for easy easy access and holds an 8 gallon bag in place with a liner lock system making it the perfect spot for me to put my empty soda cans and water bottles or you could use it for garbage.

I love, love , love my Rubbermaid 2-in-1 Recycler!!!  It makes it easier for me to recycle and it keeps everything neatly in one place…..what more could you ask for?!?!

You can read more about this product on Rubbermaid’s website.  You can also find Rubbermaid on Facebook, Twitter and their Blog!!

Disclosure:  Rubbermaid provided me with the 2-in-1 recycler free of charge and they provided the giveaway item.  I was not compensated in any other way.  All opinions expressed are 100% my own.

I am total recycling geek. I recycle everything. Paper. All plastics. Tin cans. Bottles. You name it, I recycle it. I have bins everywhere–well, all in the garage. I feel so guilty throwing stuff away when I know that it can be recycled.

Oh awesome. We definitely recycle but I feel like I’m always filling up a bin or paper sack and creating more of a mess. This would definitely come in handy

I love that thing! I would use it because my roommate likes to toss everything together. This would be a great way to separate the compost from the recyclables like plastic, glass and aluminum!

We go through a lot of plastics and packaging at our house and it always waits on the counter to go outside into the recycle bin, this would be perfect!

Talya April 30, 2012 at 6:55 PM

I always have tons of paper recycling floating around my house, so this would be great to keep it all in one place.

Oh yeah! We recycle! I actually have three trashcans outside in a nook by our washer and dyrer….one for plastics, one for glass, one for aluminum. They are the tall trashcans and I love having them out of sight but not too far away. Now if only I could get a composter!

I would use the 2-in-1 recycler for our cans. I like these because they do not look tacky and it conceals your recycables until time to take them out to the big bin. Rubbermaid comes out with the best stuff!

right now I am using one of those big (huge) laundry baskets/tubs as a recycle bin. It looks ugly in my kitchen. This would make my kitchen beautiful and still be able to recycle. We have single stream recycling so I don’t have to sort but this is a wonderful container

Reply

Jenn @ Running Jennie May 3, 2012 at 11:16 AM

If I won this we would finally be able to clean up our own mess of recyclables in our kitchen! We have a blue bin which is quite small that we put paper in and then cans and bottles go on the counter. It piles up until I bug DH to take it downstairs – then he has to load it into bags or whatnot and into our granny grocery cart. Sounds like this would make our kitchen tidier and the transfer to the garbage room much easier! Maybe he would even take down the recycling before I have to ask! :-)
