Wow!! Eight Weeks just passes in a blink of an eye! Best Body Bootcamp is over and I am sad but I am also looking forward to new challenges. The first 4 weeks of the bootcamp I pretty much followed the workouts exactly but the last 4 weeks proved to be more challenging because I had started running again. Finding time to fit in all the bootcamp workouts in plus running proved to be difficult so I did as much as I physically could do which ended up being about two-thirds of the workouts.
I will say that the Best Body Bootcamp was a great challenge and that Tina Reale did an awesome job planning all the workouts while including some great prizes throughout the 8 weeks including three substantial grand prizes of $1000 at the end. Unfortunately I did win any prizes but I loved all the workouts and I plan on incorporating them into my exercise routine!!! Tina is planning another bootcamp at the end of the summer if you are interested just stop by her website for more information.
Thanks Tina for an awesome 8 weeks!!!
Here is last week’s recap:
A great week if you ask me!!!! I ran my longest run since being injured on Friday and it felt great!! Six miles of pure bliss after a very stressful day!!! Running is definitely my drug!
So what’s next???
First up I had signed up for Under Armour’s What’s Beautiful competition and have declared my goal: To reveal my abs! This is a goal I have been seeking for awhile but up until this point I have not put in the effort required to actually achieve this goal. I have no problem with exercising but the clean eating and limiting alcohol has been a challenge which I am working on now! You can follow my progress here. This contest ends June 26th when 10 finalists are declared, wish me luck!!
To kickstart this goal I started following Jackie Warner’s program found in her new book 10 Pounds in 10 days (<<-Affiliate link). This is a 30 day program that claims you will lose 10 pounds in the first 10 days, I guess we will see if it is true. The diet is pretty restrictive and I plan to follow it as closely as possible but because I will be adding running and yoga into the already intense workout program from the book I am pretty sure I will be requiring extra calories.
Next I will be participating in Run To The Finish’s 30 day Yoga Challenge. This is a great challenge to counterbalance my running and keep my muscles limber as I increase my mileage in preparation for my NYC Marathon training. I love yoga and just recently won a 3 month subscription to GaiamTV from Emily at Family and Life in Las Vegas!! I am really looking forward to using GaiamTV everyday and finding some new yoga workouts to do on my awesome Tomuno Yoga Mat.
I am also participating in the Joggermom Marathon this month. 26.2 miles in 31 days, definitely doable and there are some great prizes too!
I have a 10K race this Sunday at the Long Island Marathon (last year I ran the half and scored a PR) but that is it for official races this month at least for right now. We will see what pops up, maybe a Memorial Day 5K.
Do you think that is enough???
With the start of any good program you need pics and measurements:
Last up today but certainly not least the Danskin Triathlon Entry Winner:

What challenges are you participating in this month?
