Friday Favorites featuring @BuluBox @Workplaybags

Happy Friday everyone!!!  Or should I say Happy Friday the 13th!!  I used to love Friday the 13th because of the superstitions and all the scary movies but now that I have gotten “old” and “boring” it is just another day.

This post is going up late in the day because although I planned to write it last night my body didn’t agree with me.  I gave blood yesterday afternoon and by 7:45 I as dead asleep in my bed.  I did not wake up until 7 this morning and I probably could have slept another 2 hours but I had to work.  I have never had this type of reaction after giving blood but I just did not hydrate enough throughout the rest of the day which left me feeling really depleted.  You would think as a RN I would know better but we are just human, right?

Now on to some of my favorite things this week:

Bulu box

 What is Bulu box exactly?

It is a box of vitamin and supplement samples that you receive via a monthly subscription which costs only $10 a month and you have the option to cancel at anytime…..no contracts or hidden fees plus shipping is free too!!!

From their website:

“Every month, you’ll get a box filled with 4 to 5 nutritional supplements from top brands. Look forward to a new mix of products for both men and women, including vitamins, supplements, sports nutrition, meal replacement, diet, energy, protein, detox, digestion, sexual health, herbs, natural remedies, endurance and more. We’ll make sure you get enough to decide if the product is right for you. No shipping or shady fees. Depending on your plan you can cancel anytime.”

When Bulu box contacted me to try out their product I was super excited because I love getting samples of different products to try out and see what I like!!!  In each box you receive 4-5 premium samples that are good for both men and women.

Here is what I received:

  • RevHoney Energy Peach U-Tube (looks like lip gloss)
  • Vitamin D3 3,000 IU (full 30 tab bottle)
  • Night Food Bar (Cookies ‘n’ Cream)
  • Life Omega-3 Wild Norwegian Fish Oil (2 tabs)
  • Cellucor Super HD Fat Targeting & Sculpting Agent (1 cap)

I loved the variety of products I received in this box and I absolutely would have paid $10 for this without a problem.  I enjoyed being able to try new products and supplements without having to invest a lot money into a full bottle of a product that I may not even want to take again.

If you like to try new vitamins and supplements then Bulu Box is for you!!!  You can check out their website for more info on the different subscriptions they offer.  You can also follow Bulu Box on Facebook and Twitter.

Workplay Bags

Workplay creates bags specifically for women with an active lifestyle!  Workplay has created unique bags with the comfort, safety and style every woman desires!  You can check all of their products on their website.

Workplay was nice enough to send me one other bags to try out-The Fleetfoot II Running Bag:

I absolutely loved this bag!!!  I walked, ran and biked with it!!!  It is the perfect size to hold everything I need and it fit perfectly.  This bag did not bounce around at all like some bags do which is a big plus because I find it really annoying when bags bounce around especially when I am running.  I loved the stretch pocket which had enough room to fit a 20oz water bottle or you could put gloves or a hat there too!

Safety features included a reflective trim and an “In Case of Emergency” label inside.
This bag was not only functional but stylish too!!!!!  I would definitely recommend it if you are in the market for a lightweight running bag!!
You can find Workplay on Facebook and Twitter too!!!
Livin The Fit LIfe also posted a review about them here.
krilloil Friday Favorites featuring @BuluBox @Workplaybags
A month or so ago Everest Nutrition sent me some of their Krill Oil supplements to try out.  I have heard about Krill Oil and my mother-in-law takes it but up until Everest Nutrition reached out to me I had never tried the product.  I did a quick search on Krill Oil and learned about it’s benefits which include:
  • Improved brain health and memory
  • Boost energy
  • Decrease symptoms of PMS
  • Reduce pain associated with stiff joints
  • Improve cardiovascular health-increase HDL, reduce triglycerides, reduce LDL, and lower risk of cardiovascular incidents
  • Reduce early aging lines

These are just some of the benefits that Krill Oil has been proven to provide so I was intrigued at the prospect of these benefits.  I have been taking the Krill Oil pretty consistently for the past 2 months and the biggest improvement I have noticed is in my PMS symptoms which have decreased since I started the Krill oil.  I have also noticed a slight boost in my energy levels.

I cannot speak about the cardiovascular improvements as I have not had my blood tested for cholesterol levels during this period but I am hopeful that is also improving.  My memory seems to be about the same.

Now that I am training of the marathon I could use any help I can get in improving joint stiffness!!!!

I do plan to continue to take the Krill Oil after the supply that Everest Nutrition runs out and I will keep you updated on any improvements that I see from continuing with this supplement.

Becoming a Cheribundi Ambassador this week was awesome!!!!

That’s all for this week!!!!

Tomorrow I will be running as part of the We Are Athletes Racing Team for the first time!!!  I am excited for this 5K because I ran this very same race about 10 years ago and at that time it was my best 5K (26:02).  I was hoping to beat that but my shins have been sore and my quad has been achy so I just want to do the best I can without exacerbating any injuries!!!!  I will let you know how it goes!!!

Disclosure:  I received Bulu Box, the wordplay bag, and the Krill Oil at not charge.  I was not compensated in any other way for this post.  All opinions are 100% my own.

What are your favorite things this week?

That Bulu Box sounds like something I would like to try for a few months. Pays for itself and you can find out whether you like things before you commit to them.
