I spent Sunday afternoon creating my Brooklyn 1/2 Marathon training plan. I have a little over 10 weeks and basically my goal is to finish, uninjured. The plan I am going to follow is completely a beginner plan. No speedwork, no tempo runs, just plain old running. I have also interspersed cross training, strength training and stretching into the plan.
I haven’t run a half-marathon since the Virginia Beach Rock’n’Roll Half in 2011 and I am ready!!!!! I am not going to stress myself out with a set time goal, but with that being said, I would like to run it in under 2 hours and 15 minutes.
