The Jelly Bean was the first virtual run I had ever run!!! In 2011 I ran the 10K and in 2012 I ran the 5K!!! This year I decided to run the 5K as I am just getting myself back into running after my stress fracture.
On Tuesday the 19th I had decided to run the 5K and it was an awesome run!!! I felt great and even saw a bunny during the run…yes, it was a fake pink bunny, but it was still a bunny!
I felt great during this run….that is until I realized the Jelly Bean virtual 5K did not actually start until the 20th. I definitely need to read things more accurately!!!!

It was a great challenge to run a “race” again and although I would have loved to run faster, I am satisfied with my time!!!
My Brooklyn Half training is going great!!! I am struggling with the fact that the runs are not as easy as I thought they would be, but I have not trained for almost six months. Five miles this weekend was HARD!!!! I remember when 5 miles was a breeze…it was about six months ago. “sigh” I need to remember that I have not run regularly in about six months, I need to build my endurance!!!!!
