In my quest to find balance this year I feel that I am doing pretty good, except in the area of blogging. You may have noticed my posts are shorter and less frequent on most weeks, especially in the last two months. School has been much harder than I thought it was going to be and it is taking up many of my nights, so unfortunately the first thing that slacks when my time is low is blogging.
I plan on doing a better job with blogging for both you and me. I think the key to finding balance is planning. My planning for my blog has been nonexistent, but that is going to change. I have found success with planning out my workouts, planning out my meals, planning out my school schedule and of course planning out my workday!!!!! It would be a smart move on my part to plan out my blogging because then not only would my life be easier, but I would be able to put out better quality posts more frequently.
After I complete some very important schoolwork this weekend, the first item on my agenda will be to plan out my blogs for the next month!!!! If there is anything you would like to see on my blog or would like me to talk about, lease feel free to leave a comment with your request!!!
Now, on to my week 4 training recap that was planned with the help of my Fitorbit trainer Amanda!!!!! I have been working with Amanda for about a month now thanks to my partnership with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. Anthem has partnered with Fitorbit, so as one of their Real Health Contributors I was offered the opportunity to use Fitorbit for training.
Fitorbit is not just your average weight loss website, they actually provided you with a REAL personal trainer who customizes your workout and meal plan to fit you. Fitorbit is the total package and for only fifty dollars a month you get:
- A REAL personal trainer with unlimited messaging for communication
- Custom daily meal plan
- Custom exercise plan
- A printable weekly grocery list that includes every ingredient you need for you meals
- A dining out guide
- Easy logging via your desktop or their iPhone app
After four weeks I am loving the workout plan that I have been receiving from my trainer Amanda. Each workout plan is broken down by exercise and each exercise has a description plus a picture and/or video of the exercise. It is also super easy to log on the iPhone app, you basically just check off each exercise as you complete them.
The best part about Fitorbit has been the capability to communicate with my trainer Amanda so that I could get exactly what I wanted out of the workout plan she was creating for me. Through our communication Amanda was able to create my plan Fitorbit workout plan to perfectly complement my half marathon training plan.
Today I took my cross training workout outside:
I would say the only negative for me is the meal plan just because I find it difficult to follow a set meal plan and it is geared toward one or two people rather than a family of four. I do loosely follow Amanda’s guidelines for my meals and have used quite a few of the recipes provided, but I do change up the meals to suit my needs. I love that they provide a grocery list and the tracking for the meal plan is as easy as just checking a box, so there really is no excuse not to follow it if you want to benefit from the “total” package that this site provides.
Personally, I really love this site for the workouts rather than the meal plan and would love it of they had the option to just “purchase” an exercise plan. I do think that all the tools that Fitorbit provides for their monthly fee makes it a great investment, plus they offer a 30 day risk free trial, so if you are thinking about trying out the site you really have nothing to lose!!!
Here is the breakdown of my workouts from week 4:
- Monday: Just Push and Tri Core Fitorbit workouts
- Tuesday: 3.5 miles
- Wednesday: Sport Specific Training Circuits Fitorbit workout
- Thursday: 3.5 miles
- Friday: Booty-licious Legs and Hard Core Fitorbit workouts
- Saturday: Upper’s and Downers Fitorbit workout
- Sunday: 5 miles
A great week!!!! My running has been pain free and with the help of Amanda the rest of my body is definitely getting stronger, especially my core!!!
As you can see when I have a plan I completely follow through, which is why I NEED a blogging plan!
Do you plan out your daily activities???
Disclosure: I have been provided with a free Fitorbit membership through my partnership with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. All opinions and experiences I have with Fitorbit are 100% my own honest opinion.
