What a week!!
Mostly I was recovering from my vacation and prepping for school, but I managed to squeeze in a few workouts!
- Monday: Steps: 10,028
- Tuesday: Steps: 5160
- Wednesday: 3 mile run (no GPS, not timed); Steps: 12,623
- Thursday: Cycling (see below); Steps: 7825
- Friday: Steps: 7325
- Saturday: Yoga at Emerge Yoga and Wellness (see below); Steps: 5628
I met my friend Kim from Keeping Up With Kimberly at Emerge Yoga and Wellness on Saturday morning for our first (much needed) yoga class together. Kim had found a deal in Amazon Local for this studio and it was about time we used it!! This studio has antigravity yoga classes, but we decided to just take a regular class to start. Believe it or not, this is only my second real live yoga class, I mostly jsut to DVDs at home. I was looking forward to working with a real live instructor who could correct my form when necessary.
Athi was our instructor and she was absolutely awesome!!! Athi was calming and motivating throughout the entire class. She frequently corrected my form which made the poses so much more satisfying. I have to say that this was the best yoga class I have ever taken and I cannot wait to go back!!!
I will tell you that my arms are still sore from this class, which has made me realize just how much I have been neglecting my upper body. I need to work on balancing out my workouts and focusing on strengthening my whole body, bot just my running muscles.

Not a bad week, but it could be better. My goals for this week in addition to running are to reach 10,000 steps every single day, work on my upper body and continue yoga. My sister-in-laws wedding is in 2 months and I need to have my dress altered in a few weeks, so I need to look my best ASAP.
