After running my first half-marathon without much training, I decided to train to run my second with a goal of under two hours. As a self-professed procrastinator, I knew I needed something to keee myself accountable to my trainng, thus Running, Loving, Living was born. On May 1, 2011 I achieved that goal with a PR of 1:54:36.
What started as a hobby, turned into a passion. Through blogging I have discovered an amazing community that I would have never knew existed. I have made virtual friends from all over the world and have even met some of them in real life. I took a trip on my own for the first time in my life. I have had the privilege of participating in some amazing opportunties that I would never have come my way if it wasn’t for this blog.
Over the past three years I have grown more and more comfortable in my own skin. I have learned to take risks, even if there is a chance of failure. I am not afraid to speak my mind or try something new, regardless of what others may or may not think of me. I have become a confident person. I have become the me I always knew I could be!
I have contemplated more times than I could count if I should stop blogging. I work full time, am taking 3 college classes this semester toward my Bachelors, I am training for a half marathon, and I have my family. These other commitments live little time left over for my blog, but I love it. I love it so much that I just can’t bear to give it up, what I can do is lighten my blog load and let go of the guilt of my inability of being able to post regularly. I have managed to blog for three years and that is a big accomplishment for me!
I will commit to you, my readers and friends, to post twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. If I am completely overwhelmed with school and my family I will let you know. From this day forward there will be a post, maybe just a short one, but a post every Monday and Thursday. If I have the need or free time to post more I will, but no promises.
Thank you to all my loyal supporters for the past three years!!!! You make this blog what it is each and every day. I appreciate all yoour feedback and comments. Let me know if there is anything you ever want to read on this blog.
I am looking forward to sharing 2014 and my marathon journey with all of you!
