I have been in a funk the last couple of weeks. I have been sick, tired, and completely unmotivated. I have been working out at home, but with all the snow and my lack of gym visits, running has been non-existent in my life until today.
Once again it snowed here today and with the massive amounts still on the ground, running outside was not an option, so I headed to the gym. Netflix is my new best friend when it comes to running on the treadmill. Breaking Bad plus the treadmill equals a pretty decent run.
I ran in my new Asics Gel Kayano sneakers and they were amazing. I haven’t wore Asics in years and after my run today, I am so sorry that I haven’t, because these sneakers are the best sneakers I have worn in a long time! Along with my Asics, I tried out my new Crazy Compression sleeves. Not only do I love the style, I love the way they feel! My knee seems to be a lot better too, no soreness at all! Overall I would say this run was completely successful!
I felt great, I looked great and I am officially out of my funk!
Running has a way of making everything better. Running ALWAYS makes me feel better, both mentally and physically.
One month to go to the NYC Half and after today’s run, I am confident I will finish!
How do you get out of a funk?
