Snow, snow, snow…… I am very unhappy with the snow. It looks pretty for about five minutes and then I have had enough. It messes with everything from school to work to the safety of the roads. I am done with snow. Wantagh got 8.3 inches yesterday and more is expected tomorrow. I am done with snow. Another snow storm is expected over the weekend too!!! Just fantastic. Warmer pastures are on the horizon, I just know it.
The only person who enjoyed the snow was my five year old Abby:
What is worse than snow???
The flu, or whatever virus has plagued me since Friday, sending me to the doctor in the middle of the snow yesterday. Basically I was diagnosed with bronchitis and probable flu, but I won’t have a positive diagnosis of flu for about three days.
My NYC Half training has come to an abrupt halt as I recover, I missed multiple runs over the past week and my long run on Sunday. Thankfully, I don’t have any goals for this race. Between the snow and being sick, this training has been more off track than on. I am just going to pick up my training again this weekend and adjust it accordingly.
Now for the best thing about today, my daughter Angelica’s birthday!! I cannot believe I actually have a seventeen year old child!! I only wish the most amazing things for her in life and that she stays safe while driving!
Happy Birthday Angelica, I love you!
Have a great day all!!
