I haven’t really posted about my everyday life outside of fitness for awhile and I think that needs to change. While I love running and staying healthy, it is not all I do and I think this blog should reflect that.
Due to the frigid temperatures Chris and I hit the gym yesterday morning for a good workout prior to heading to the city AKA Manhattan to see Billy Joel at MSG. It’s all about balance, right? We bought my in-laws tickets for Christmas and figured we would go to the show too!! Billy Joel is amazing in concert and if you are a fan you definitely need to see him live.
We took the train to the city early so that we could have dinner prior to the show. My husband picked an Irish bar close to Penn station but when we walked in I knew we would not being eating there. It was more of a party bar than a dinner prior to the show bar. Luckily there are no lack of restaurants in Manhattan so we walked right next door to Stout which had a much better dinner selection.
I wouldn’t say it was the best restaurant I have ever eaten at but it was decent and literally just a hop, skip and jump away from MSG.
Gavin DeGraw opened and he was great!! Billy Joel was amazing!! That man has a true talent that really shines during his concerts! He is going to be playing at MSG once a month so this is your chance to see him live!!!
The night ended with a hat switch:
And an unfortunate trip to Babylon when both me and my husband fell asleep on the train. Babylon is the end of our train line and this mistake cost us a $50 cab ride.
Have you ever fallen asleep on a train and missed your stop?
