February was amazing, but also tough. There were some high points like my daughter’s 18th birthday and my 15 year anniversary and some low points like the cold weather. I felt extraordinarily happy at times and extraordinarily SAD at times. I joined the Lorna Jane Fit Challenge and the Prana 30 Day Yoga Challenge. I had an amazing VIP tasting at Noodles & Company (recap coming soon). February was good, check out the breakdown below:
Running: 48 miles
It was a rough month for running due to all the snow. I only got outside for a run a couple of times, the rest was on the dreadmill treadmill at Planet Fitness, thank goodness for Netflix. I am hoping for warmer weather for the month of March!
During February I joined Prana’s 30 day Yoga Challenge plus I participated in a StayFree campaign that got me 30 days of free yoga from Gaiam TV. I would say that my yoga practice is getting back on track. I feel more centered, stress free and flexible thanks to a good 20 days of yoga this month!
This is a 12 week challenge that will continue through April. This month I completed Phase One to the best of my ability, but due to a nagging shoulder injury (which I am getting check this week) I cannot do every exercise as prescribed. I have trouble doing some upper body movements especially push-ups. I have been completing the workouts with modifications. The challenge is providing me with the motivation to stay consistent with my workouts and I am definitely feeling much stronger. My nutrition on the other hand still needs some work, but I am trying! Follow me on Instagram for updates on my progress.
February I celebrated my daughter’s 18th birthday. How she is 18 is surreal to me. It feels like yesterday she was born. I also celebrated my 15th Anniversary with my husband. We have been together for over 19 years and I am blessed to have him in my life. We went to a Billy Joel concert in NYC with my in-laws and had an amazing night, other than falling asleep on the train and ending up in Babylon! Work has been stressful to say the least but I am hoping March will be better.
Overall looking back would say it was a pretty good month. I am looking forward to what March will bring!!! How was your month??
