Every year on March 8th the women from around the world celebrate International Women’s Day. International Women’s Day has historically been about creating equality for women. In today’s world we can celebrate the fact that equality for women has come a long way with many women holding power positions that would never have been even remotely possible 50 years ago. Today is a day to celebrate women and their achievements throughout the world!
This International Women’s Day GRACEDBYGRIT has launched their #SweatYourStory video campaign and is asking for women to share how they “Sweat Their Story. GRACEDBYGRIT encourages all women to ‘Sweat Their Story’ to push past the gritty moments because ultimately, those moments are what give you grace. GRACEDBYGRIT is a company that creates workout gear for women that’s designed not only to be functional, but also makes you look and feel good!
Running has been and always will be my storyline. When I found running I found myself and it has shaped and molded me into the person I am today. I run for many reasons, but most importantly I run for me. I have been running for 18 years and the culmination of all that running was completing the 2014 NYC Marathon.
International Women’s Day is a day where we celebrate our achievements while striving for equality. I am loving what the GRACEDBYGRIT brand represents and how they recognize all types of gritty women who work to empower themselves and one another! As women we should be encouraging and empowering each other to reach our goals despite any inequalities that remain in the world. I am hoping that one day in near the future that women will have true equality throughout the world.
Now tell me, how do you #SweatYourStory?
