Summer is coming and I want to look my best so I have decided to participate in a couple of challenge. The first challenge I am participating in is the K-Fit 6 Challenge which actually started this past Monday. I plan to recap my experience with the K-Fit 6 Challenge on a weekly basis. I have completed all my starting measurements including pictures, weight, body fat and inches. Let me tell you it was a rude awakening that I will sure with you during my first recap on Sunday.
Another challenge that crossed my path this week is the Bowflex 30 Day Summer Strong Challenge:

Until this past Monday I have not strength trained in over 3 months due to a shoulder injury and the flab has really set in. Running is great but strength training is important for a balanced workout routine and when I am religiously strength training I also experience less injuries. Since I just cancelled my membership at Planet Fitness all of my strength training has to be done at home which can be difficult at times due to lack of space. I am temporarily living in a teeny apartment so in addition to my being limited, so is my equipment, which is why the Bowflex® Summer Strong Challenge developed by Bowflex Fitness Advisor Tom Holland is the perfect challenge for me. This challenges only requires a commitment of 5 minutes a day so there is no excuses, plus it will pair perfectly with the K-Fit 6 Challenge.
From 5/18 until 6/18 Bowflex is also offering some great prizes to participants of the Summer Strong Challenge. They will be choosing 3 weekly winners to receive samples of their Bowflex Body nutrition line! One grand prize winner will receive a free pair of Bowflex SelectTech Dumbbells! All you have to do is share a picture of you performing any of the Summer Strong exercises with the #SummerStrong and #Bowflexhashtags on Instagram or Twitter. You can also post on Facebook just make sure you tag the Bowflex page.
Check out their website for full detail and explanation of all the exercises in the challenge.
I plan to start my Summer Strong Challenge on June 1st!!! Join me????

This sounds like a fun and doable challenge! Lately, I’ve not been doing the best with challenges – I’ll start and be super pumped and then miss a day…and miss more of the challenge. But, with only 5 minutes a day, I think this one might be a good one to start!

Ha! My coach has a heavy lifting cycle planned for the next 6 weeks. I don’t think there will be anything left of me to do anything else but run!
