Two weeks ago I attended a pretty cool event hosted by ShoeBuy. I get invites to lots of events in Manhattan, but it is rare that I get to attend one due to my work schedule. When I got the ShoeBuy Even invite I was so excited that I had the day off! I mean an event that offers breakfast, rooftop yoga and hosts a presentation about shoes is not one I wanted to miss.
I scored my workout buddy, Crystal, an invite to the event. We took an early train to Penn station and then walked to the Eventi Hotel which was only a few blocks from Penn. No matter how many times I go to the city I am always in awe and I always act like a tourist.
I mean it never gets old to take a picture with the Empire State building, right? The Eventi Hotel was being worked on so it took us a few minutes just to find the entrance. The event was on the fourth floor, but unfortunately the yoga was moved inside due to the construction. It is not very peaceful to do yoga with a lot of banging going on.
Crystal and I grabbed a Manduka yoga mat and grabbed a spot to set up. The yoga class was hosted by Pure Flow Yoga and the teacher was Ashley. The class was an hour long and pretty tough. I am happy to report that despite not practicing yoga for a few months I was still able to perform all of the poses, even crow.
After yoga we enjoyed breakfast and Sean and Courtney from ShoeBuy gave their presentation. Sean, the Senior Vice President of Merchandising, spoke about fitness sneakers and the current trends that we are seeing today like maximalism as we see in the Hoka One One sneaker. One of the biggest trends of the year for fitness sneakers is memory foam. Courtney talked about the fashion side of ShoeBuy. I have no fashion sense but she did confirm that my Converse are in!!!!! In addition to shoes, ShoeBuy also carries bags, accessories and clothing.
I even got to meet a fellow fitness blogger Patty from Reach Your Peak. It is always great to meet online friends in real life!
ShoeBuy was amazing to host this fantastic event and I can’t thank them enough. I had never heard of ShoeBuy before this event and I am happy to be introduced to them. Shoebuy is a full price site. They do have markdowns during their seasonal sales. They also offer free shipping and free exchange if you don’t like what you purchased. One of the best things about ShoeBuy is that they have a wide variety of brands and shoes. If you want Converse in every single color you are likely to find them on ShoeBuy. One stop shopping at its best. I will definitely be purchasing my future shoes there and you should definitely check them out!! You can visit their website to learn more. You can also find them on Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest or Facebook!
I want to give a big thanks to ShoeBuy for inviting me, Ashley from Pure Flow Yoga for hosting an awesome class and to all the brands who put together our awesome swag bags: Manduka, Haiku bags, Ryka and CWX.
