This first week of half marathon training was great despite that my stress level was through the roof. Last week was a whirlwind between closing on my new house, work stress and a sick kid. The only thing that actually alleviated my stress level a little bit was running. I am thankful that my body has healed and I have the ability to train for a half marathon again. I am thankful for all my running friends who have made each and every run easier and more therapeutic. I am thankful for Jess, my running coach, because without her I would just be floundering without any real purpose to my training. I am thankful that despite all that I had going on I essentially completed every single workout Jess laid out for me. Jess has also partnered with Shape Magazine to create a Run Into Shape Challenge, which is a 30 day running plan that will take your running skills to the next level. You should definitely check it out!

He also has a great challenge for runners looking to lose weight and/or increase their performance called the K-Fit 6 Challenge. I participated in his inaugural group and loved it!!! You can check it out here. (Links to the K-Fit 6 Challenge are affiliate links)
This was a pretty successful week. My 10K on Sunday was the longest I have run since October when I got injured and I practically cried with tears of joy!!!! I am so happy to be back and cannot wait to run the Echo Half and then the NYC Marathon!!!!
What races are you most looking forward to this year?
