Another uneventful week in the training world considering I didn’t run until Sunday. The week consisted of mostly yoga while I rested my ankle. The swelling finally came down midweek so I opted to err on the side of caution and wait until Sunday to test it out. I was originally going to run the long run which was 8 miles, but not only did I want to sleep in, I also though 8 miles may be pushing it for my first time back. I ended up running a conservative 2.5 miles with my husband and thankfully my ankle was fine.
Here’s the breakdown:
- Monday 12/5/16: yoga
- Tuesday 12/6/16: yoga
- Wednesday 12/7/16: yoga
- Thursday 12/8/16: yoga
- Friday 12/9/16: rest
- Saturday 12/10/16: rest
- Sunday 12/11/16: Easy Run, 2.5 miles.
And I am back! Easy 2.5 miles to test out my ankle and so far so good! I wore my lucky (marathon) running outfit- Raceragz tank, @sparkleskirts , red compression socks, @asics sneaks with @spencofootwear insoles! All is right with the world! Now I am sofa king my feet in my pool aka ice bath! #garminrunning #injuredrunner #running #teamasics #racepacerunner #runchat #fitfluential #sweatpink #werunsocial
- Miles: 2.5 miles
- Total Miles: 20.97 miles
I am happy to be running again. I am determined to stay injury free too. On a fun note check out my best of nine 2016:
No surprise that the top nine is running related and mostly NYC Marathon related!
How was your week?
