So I am resetting my Echo Half Marathon Training. It was supposed to start four weeks ago, but I couldn’t run yet. I erred on the side of caution due to my leg injury and decided to wait as long as I possibly could to train safely, which is now, eight weeks out.
I got in two, pain free, runs this week. Tuesday I ran 1.76 miles and today I ran 2.6 miles. They were slow, but as I said before, pain free and that is what matters. I have had a stressful week and I am not sure I would have made through it without running.
This training plan is basically an easy 8 week half-marathon training plan. I plan to run 3 times a week, weight train 5-6 times a week and stretch a few times a week. I have no goals for this race except to finish and stay injury free. My big goal race is going to be either Key West or Safety Harbor in early 2018. Wish me luck!
Now lets talk about some awesome lights that attach to your sneakers to make your early morning or night runs much more bright!
Night Runner Pro is the first bluetooth connected shoe light. Night Runner Pro features two ultra-light, rechargeable, 300 lumen LED shoe lights that easily attach to your shoelaces. With these lights runners are visible from all sides, which is an awesome safety feature. The rechargeable battery last for up to 10 hours per charge and this is an awesome feature for runners like me who forget to charge everything.
Now on to the important part….how do you get a pair??? You can pre-order them on Kickstarter. The have a little over a week left to reach their goal of raising $25,000. So head on over and check out the great deal they are offering now!!!!
I really want these to be manufactured for selfish reasons…..I want a pair. I have tried many lights and they all annoy the heck out me. These look perfect, plus I love that they provide visual performance feedback via bluetooth.
