I headed to Target last week to pick up a couple of boxes of Quest Bars to try out. I thought I would find the bars with all the food bars, but I was wrong…..I finally located them in the supplement aisle. It took me a good ten minutes to decide on two flavors, mostly because they all looked so delicious.
I ended up choosing Mint Chocolate Chunk and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, but I don’t think I could have gone wrong with any of their amazing flavors. I love that these bars contain 20+ grams of protein, 170-210 calories, 13-15 grams of fiber and no added sugar. This makes them the perfect running companion.
I packed my Quest Protein Bars in my running belt and took them for an eight mile trail run. Well, they actually didn’t make it the whole eight miles.
Not only are Quest Protein Bars delicious, they also do not upset my stomach at all, which has been a challenge when I am fueling on the run. My friend Allison also fueled with Quest!!!!! Look how happy we look!!!!
Fueling with Quest midway through our trail run helped us to stay energized without any stomach issues. They are perfect and I will definitely be utilizing them on my future long runs. The only thing I wish I could do is warm them, because warmed for just a quick 10 seconds in the microwave makes them taste so good. Although once the Florida Sumer kicks into full gear I am sure they will be warm just from being outside with me.
I did create a little snack with the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip bar too!!! It is easy and delicious. Basically, I baked half of a Quest Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bar in the toaster oven for ten minutes and then I topped it with almond butter and coconut.
It was amazing!!!! I could snack on this every night as a dessert!!!!!
Have you tried Quest Protein Bars?
