About Me

My pic About MeHi my name is Toni and I am a registered nurse with a passion for running, health and fitness. I am also married to my best friend and we share 2 beautiful daughters. I have been passionate about running and fitness since I was 19 but my passions were put on the back-burner while I started my family and went to nursing school. After the birth of my second daughter in 2008 I fell back in love with fitness and running while working to get my pre-baby body back. My life today is all about balancing my family life, my work as a nurse, my blog and my passion for running and everything fitness related. It is not always easy to fit it all in but when I take care of myself I can take care everyone else that much better.

I started my blog Running, Loving Living in January 2011 as a way to hold myself accountable while I trained for my second 1/2 marathon with a goal of running it in under 2 hours. I achieved this goal at the Long Island 1/2 Marathon on May 1, 2011 with a time of 1:54:36. This journey reignited my passion for not only running but also for writing. My goals for 2012 are to run a 1/2 marathon in under 1:50 and to run the NYC Marathon, my first, in approximately 4 hours. I plan to make my 34th year of life the best one yet, so follow me on my journey as I try to live my life to the fullest while inspiring others to do the same.

I am a FitFluential Ambassador, you can view my ambassador page here.

You can find me at my blog, on facebook , on twitter and on google+.

  2. Hiya! Quick question, how often and how far do you run every week?

    • Actually right now I am recovering from an injury so no running for a bout 5 more weeks, normally I’d run 4-5 times a week about 20-25 miles.
