My 10 week training for the Long Island Half-Marathon officially starts today. Today was a cross-training day so I kicked off my first official workout with Mandy Ingber’s Yogalosophy DVD.
I love this DVD! Mandy’s hybrid workout is awesome! Traditional yoga is combined with traditional toning exercises and these equal one great workout. I completed one of her thirty minute routines today. I love yoga DVD’s because I can squeeze it in at home whenever my day allows and my 2 year old even tries to do the workout with me, she is really perfecting her downward dog.
This is the training log I chose to use over the next 10 weeks. I went with a traditional paper log that has space to log every detail of my runs. There is space to record the workout type, distance, time, pace/splits, weather, and course. There is a space for crosstraining and nutrition too. I plan to use this log to keep focused and on track to meet my goal of running the half-marathon in under 2 hours.
