My Dearest Treadmill

My Dearest Treadmill,
I am writing this letter to tell you how I feel.  I love you, I have always loved you and I always will love you, but I am not in love with you. There is someone else that has stolen my heart, as the days grow brighter and warmer the road beckons me with his beautiful scenery and fresh air.  Although mother nature attempts to come between us the road remains my one true love.
I know that you have always been there for me whenever I needed you, no questions asked. I can always rely on you when the road is icy or flooded or when it is just too dark and unsafe for me to be alone with the road. You have never let me down and I want to thank you for being there whenever I need you.
I know that you too have also been unfaithful to me too allowing all those other men and women run and sweat on you when I am not around. I won't lie and tell you that this doesn't upset me and hurt my feelings but I do know that you need to be happy too, and I cannot spend as much time with you as you want from me, especially since you are always at Planet Fitness.
If you would consider taking the next step and move in with me our relationship could blossom beautifully.  I love sharing speed workouts and shorter runs with you, but I will be honest that most of my long runs will still be spent on the road.  If you can handle sharing me with the road when the weather permits and I am running my long runs then I think our relationship could work.
I hope you will consider my offer because I really do need you and my life wouldn’t be quite the same without you in it.  My time spent with you would be quality training time that I know you would enjoy too, especially since you would share this time exclusively with me.  I will understand any decision that you make but I hope you will choose me.
Love always,
Toni
PS-I am a healthier person when I share my time with you.

  • I eat a colorful diet with at least 6-8 servings fruits/veggies a day
  • I drink at least 8 glasses of water a day
  • I exercise 30-60 minutes 5-7 times a week
  • I eat at lest 25g fiber daily
  • I am a better mother and wife and definitely less stressed when we spend time together
  • You are helping me achieve my goal of completing a half-marathon in less than 2 hours
  • You motivate me even when I don’t want to run

I know we deserve each other!!!
