This morning instead of waking up and running I actually did some yoga which felt great. I may regret this decision later in the day when it gets hot and I still have to run 3 miles but sometimes you have to do what feels right and for me today I needed to do some yoga. After majorly slacking off last week I am back on track with my training plan.
- Monday: 3 mile run outside, 100 reps abs
- Tuesday: Tempo Run-10 min warmup at 6.2 mph (9:34 min/mile), 15 min Tempo at 7.2 mph (8:18 min/mile), 11:23 min cool down at 6.2 mph to reach 4 miles total.
- Today: Baron Baptiste Unlocking Athletic Power Yoga DVD (30 min) On the schedule for later a 3 mile run and upper body work.
This week is my week to get back on track because I start working full time (8-4 M-F) next week and it is going to be challenging keeping up the same exercise schedule I have been doing while working only weekends. The plus of going back full time is that I will have weekends and holidays off unless I choose to work!!!! I am so excited to have a normal schedule again.
Every so often my husband and I get on a frozen yogurt kick, usually in the summer when it’s hot outside. The only thing I dislike about frozen yogurt is the price if it and the that even when I order a kiddie size I get way too much frozen yogurt. I end up taking it home and putting the leftovers in the freezer which eventually go to waste because frozen yogurt just isn’t the same leftover from the freezer.
Here is the solution:
We finally have a self-serve frozen yogurt store in the area and we are loving it! Not only is it cheaper but I can get the flavors I want, the amount I want and all the toppings I want without any leftovers. Yesterday I got a little bit of three different flavors-Thin Mint, Heath Bar Crunch, and Mounds-all delicious, I topped it with chocolate sprinkles and a few mini M&M’s. Chris got chocolate and banana topped with mini M&M’s, the chocolate was good but the banana tasted way too artificial. Abby wanted “pink ice cream” so we got her red velvet topped with sprinkles, red velvet is delicious but of course Abby decided she wanted Chris’s chocolate!!!
I forgot to take a before picture of my yogurt and as you can see I finished it all. Abby was very happy and satisfied after eating a little bit of all our yogurt. This stuff is addicting but we only get some a few times a week and the portions are perfect. It’s somewhat healthy right?
Do you have self serve frozen yogurt near you? Do you love it?
