Yesterday afternoon was a perfect day for the beach, the weather was absolutely perfect. I was lucky enough to have had a fairly light day at work so when I got home we got ready, packed everything we needed, grabbed Abby and headed to the beach (Angelica did not want to come) to meet our friend Steve.
Traffic was crazy ridiculous, this is why I usually go early to the beach…..it took us about an hour to get there, without traffic it would have been about 20-30 minutes. The main parking lot where we were supposed to meet our friend was closed off because they said it was full but Steve said there were plenty of spots. There was a gate connecting the 2 lots so I opened the gate, luckily no one saw me, and we made our way to the main parking lot. Of course by the time we got there Abby was sound asleep.
We gently woke her up, unpacked the car and started heading to the beach which was a bout a 5 minute walk. Abby had to go to the bathroom so Iheaded to the public bathrooms with her first and all I can say is ewwww!! Rant ahead so proceed with caution!! Public bathrooms are always gross but what is wrong with women, the toilet seat was covered in urine, seawater and seaweed. The toilet bowl of course was not flushed and there was toilet paper all over the floor. Come on people there is common courtesy for the next person, ever hear the saying: If you sprinkle while you tinkle, please be neat and wipe the seat. Plus what is with throwing garbage on the floor!!! I blame women in general too because when you go into the Men’s room (I have both on accident and on purpose if there is a long line to the women’s room and there are no men around) and it is much cleaner. I always flush the toilet and clean up after myself when I use a public restroom, if everyone else did this too the bathrooms would be a little less gross.
Aaaah. I just had to get that off my chest.
After our “fun” trip to the bathroom we headed to the beach where we lounged, soaked up the sun and even swam a little in the ocean. We swam very little because there was an obscene amount of seaweed and it was pretty gross.
Okay in all honesty I just posed for the pics, hit the ball a couple of times and then took Abby to play at the playground while the boys played a few games. Tennis Pro I am not, Chris is a much better tennis than me, I may run faster but I can’t compete with him in tennis.
How was everyone’s weekend?
