Last week was a total bust. I completely slacked of during my vacation, between the heat and my poor diet my exercise plan basically went swirling down the drain. I got in a few days of exercise in the beginning of the week but by Thursday I just got lazy, there I said it, I was lazy. The heat just melted away my desire to run outside and due to a busy weekend work schedule I just couldn’t find the time to hit the treadmills at the gym due to the limited hours on the weekend.
As you can see I only ran one day, I fit in a couple of other workouts but not as many as I would have liked. My number one mistake last week was eating and drinking way too much, I just felt unhealthy and blah which led me to mistake number two. Mistake number two was neglecting my workouts, I should have stuck to my training schedule as planned. I do not plan to repeat these mistakes when I go to Virginia Beach at the end of August, I will make a plan prior to that vacation and stick with it. All I can do now is learn from my mistakes and move on, starting fresh first thing tomorrow morning.
They say confession is good for the soul and my soul feels much better now. I can move on tomorrow without feeling guilty or weighed down by the mistakes I made last week.
Have you ever had a week where you just totally slacked off?

I have totally had times like this. I like knowing they don’t have to take over though & I can do better the next day (or next meal). You’ve got your mindset right & a plan for next time. Go get’em!

Yes!! I usually have at least one full slacker week every three months and occasionally a slacker weekend every couple of months.
This is a great post, because I have struggle with keeping focus either during or after vacation. I recently returned from a five day vacation (two full travel days), and I made a small goal of running for at least 15 minutes per day. That was it sweet and simple; and it worked! The two days I didn’t workout, I either walked for about 8 miles sight-seeing New York or was super good about what I ate on the flight home.
Thanks for the confession always good to hear from someone who is challenged by similar things in life. Keep moving forward!
Thanks Andrea!!! Sounds like you found your balance while on vacation!!
