Last week was nothing to brag about in the exercise department. I followed my 1/2 marathon training plan until Friday when due to rain, work and a nagging ache in my right upper shin bone I substituted my 7 mile long run with 7 miles on the elliptical trainer…not quite the same. This is the second week that I have missed my long run and only 4 weeks remain until my Virginia Beach 1/2 marathon so I cannot miss anymore long runs or any runs for that matter. Other than running I only managed to do ab work and one yoga session, weight training was neglected due to all the extra cases I took at the homecare I work for because they needed extra help.
Not as many miles as I would have liked but that was last week and this week started on Sunday with a much needed 3 mile run after a particularly stressful Saturday. Sunday was a much better day!!
This week I plan to follow my running plan plus at least 2 strength training workouts and 1 yoga session in addition to completing the #Fitblog Abs Challenge on Thursday. This is also my first week as a full-time homecare nurse working 8-4 so hopefully I can fit it all in as scheduled.

Well I can’t wait until this week is over and I can enjoy my first weekend off in a very long time!!!
