Sorry for the late post this week but I have a couple of good reasons:
- I went out to dinner Saturday night with Chris to a random restaurant he picked and I ended up with a terrible case of food poisoning. We had decided to go to the Nautical Mile in Freeport and Chris had originally picked a restaurant called Jeremy’s Ale House based on Yelp reviews but it turned out to be more of a bar than a grill. We decided not to stay and Chris looked on Yelp, or so I thought, and we walked to the River House Grille about a block away……big mistake. Had I checked Yelp prior to going we would not have eaten there but Chris was so hungry he mistakenly read the only good review this place got on Yelp and neglected to look at the stars it received versus the dollar signs. This restaurant actually received 2 stars and 3 dollar signs which to me is a good reason not to eat there, more dollar signs than stars is a definite sign to stay away. If you live on Long Island or frequent Freeport’s Nautical Mile then you need to check out my review on Yelp here.
- My father-in-law who joined my husband’s fantasy baseball league got called out for work and was unable to participate in the draft so guess who had to take over……yes, me! My knowledge of baseball is minimal at best and my knowledge of the players in baseball is negligent but I was still elected to do his draft. Basically I had a couple of his mock drafts plus a few players my father-in-law wrote down for me to utilize during the real draft to make the picks for his team. I ended up having to do a mock draft for practice plus the real draft which ended taking up about 3 hours of my night. I am now a co-manager of the Irish Bombers fantasy team….lol!!!
Between the draft, being on call plus being sick I just couldn’t put a blog together, so I decided to call in sick.
