I have trouble staying focused and sticking to most of my workout plans except for running. With running I stick to my training plan most of the time because I am focused on reaching my time goal. With strength training, yoga, pilates and most other exercises I just get bored so quickly I can’t seem to stick to one plan longer than a few weeks. Not sticking with things is a problem but with exercise I am not sure that it is such a bad thing because mixing it up usually means better results because your muscles are confused. My focus when it comes to sticking to one exercise plan is severely lacking therefore I have diagnosed myself with exercise ADD.
Three weeks ago I started Cindy Whitmarsh’s Ultrafit and this past I week I got derailed by illness. In the meantime I stumbled upon Tina Reale’s Best Body Bootcamp which starts today so I decided to sign up because it looks great plus there are prizes and support. This statement from Tina’s website caught my eye: “The workout plan will include challenging workouts that will keep your body guessing over the course of the 8 weeks.” Keep my body guessing…..could this be the cure to my exercise ADD….I certainly hope so!!!!
Last week was slow on the exercise front because I really wasn’t feeling well most of the week. The good news is that my tests were negative and the Nexium is helping so here’s hoping that this week I will feel much better. Here is my exercise recap from 2/27-3/4:
The #Fit2Flex50 is a challenge I joined on Fit@Flex’s website. This week the challenge consisted of 5 days of 50 ab circles (50 each way) and 50 side lunges (50 on each leg). I like this challenge because it gets me moving a little extra and this week if not for this challenge I wouldn’t have moved very much at all.
My photo food journal was pretty pathetic this week as well because my phone pretty much ate all the pictures I took so it only consists of about 5 pictures. You can check it out here if you are curious. My phone is now fixed so I plan to continue to photo all my food and continue to post it on Facebook sectioning off each week into their own album.
My weight remains at 134 but I am hoping to start losing again this week and to be down at least 10 pounds by the end of the Best Body Bootcamp.
I am ready for a new, productive week starting with some great workouts today!! I am super excited to be using my new spin bike for most of my cardio this week!! Chris and I put it together yesterday and she is awesome!!
