Best Body Bootcamp kicked my but last week, I am still extremely sore from Sunday’s workout which leaves me in the position of do I work out today or do I rest?!?!  To stay on track with this week’s workouts I really need to workout today, I guess I will see how I feel this afternoon.  I can’t believe the bootcamp is half way over already, time sure flies when you are having fun!!!

I have one big tip for anyone following a workout plan:  Read through the entire workout instruction sheet prior to coin the workouts!!!  Week 3 and 4 were basically the same workouts with week three utilizing three sets and week four utilizing four sets.  What I neglected in week three was the circuit intervals because I was too quick to do the workouts without eating the instructions first.   I just jumped in and did all the supersets one after another but I was actually supposed to start with 5 minutes of cardio for the warm-up, then do 5 minutes of cardio in between each superset, plus an additional 5 minutes to cool-down at the end…..whoops!  Week four I actually read the instructions and did the workouts as directed and it definitely took them up a notch.  Lesson learned, read the instructions completely prior to doing the workout!

Here is last week’s breakdown:

I completed all the workouts with the exception of one abdominal workout, I did one but there was supposed to be two and I just ran out of time, there are just not enough hours in the week.  I also did one yoga session but I definitely need more of those this week especially now that I am running again.  Lastly I did 7 miles of running, pain free!!!  The running feels great but it is hard to start from scratch, I just want to head out for a 6 miler but can’t unless I want to reinsure myself, patience is a virtue…..right???

Here’s hoping week 5 is just as successful as week 4!!!  In addition to my workouts my two weekly goals this week are to do 3 sessions of yoga and to drink at least 64 oz of water daily.

How was your week of bootcamp or working out???

Now onto my coveted superpower.  I know you are going to want it, who wouldn’t?? If I could have one superpower it would be the ability to manipulate time.  I would have the ability to stop time and be able to travel through time whenever I wanted.

How great would it be when you need at extra moment throughout the day to be able to just freeze time for an hour, I would utilize this ability every single day, I would be able to workout without taking time away from work and family!  Blogging would be a snap because I would always have the time to write.  Traffic, no problem, I would never be late to work again!

How about going back in time to see what the world was like or to visit a loved one that you lost.  I would love to visit the ’60’s, I have always wanted to see The Doors live and to go to the original Woodstock, now that would be an awesome vacation.  I would also love to have just a few minutes to see my grandfather again, just to talk to him and be able to touch him one more time and with this power all of this would be possible.

Now as much as this is a coveted power it can also be used for “evil” as with any superpower so in the wrong hands the world could be in a lot of trouble.  The power could also consume a good person especially with the ability to go back in time.  I think going back in time has it’s advantages but it also has it’s problems, one being we cannot live in the past.  Going back to the past to visit is one thing but I know many people including myself would love to change some things about the past, unfortunately when you change the past you change the future so when you come back things may not be quite the same.  I truly believe every step I made in life has brought me to the point where I am now and any little change could result in me not having the life I created which would be devastating, so although it would be nice to visit the past I have a feeling the temptation to change it would be too strong to avoid.

I would still love to have this superpower but I also believe it could be dangerous if used incorrectly!  Time is a precious commodity so use it wisely!!

If you could have a superpower what would it be???

Awesome week! So glad you are able to run without pain:) My super power would definitely be to fly super fast. That way I could be on the beach in Hawaii in no time:)

That is a good superpower! If I could have one, it would be the ability to add time to the day when I needed. So if I’m running late, for instance, I could add in an extra 15 minutes to make it to my destination on time!
