Week 10 was an unplanned week of rest due to an injury sustained at the 14.2 mile training run I participated in a week and half ago. Thankfully I did not suffer a severe injury and I was cleared to again which I did last night after I recorded this vlog!! I am so happy to be running again but am still suffering some pain which my coach said is due to a hip/gluteal tightness. I actually kind of suspected this but once he stretched me out my suspicion was confirmed. This week my focus is on stretching and strengthening to keep this from happening again….I will update you next week but for now here is this week’s vlog:


I have the same thing going on and mentioned it on my last post. I’m just getting back into running, reading about your training for a marathon motivating. It’s good to read you are feeling better.

I hate when I miss runs, especially now that I’m in my training for my first half. I didn’t get a long run in last week, but used my rest day on Monday to run the 5 miles I neglected. I guess it’s better than never doing it 🙂
