Happy Monday all!! I hope you all had a great weekend!!! This weekend we celebrated my daughter Angelica’s 16th Birthday!!! I cannot believe I have a 16 year old!!! After a weekend of celebrating, this morning I told Abby that today was Angelica’s Birthday and she said, “Again?” Abby is going to think that birthdays are a 3 day affair!!!

This week was the beginning of me getting back into running, finally!!!!!! After my stress fracture and most recently my bout with pneumonia, running has not really been in my vocabulary in about five months. I ran briefly in December, but felt my shin wasn’t ready so I backed off, only to get sick right after running the Commitment Day run on 1/1/13. This week I have run twice, without pain!!!!!!
My first run was on Wednesday with my husband. We ran two miles that felt like ten at a super slow pace of 11 minutes a mile. I didn’t put on my GPS for this run, but I did wear my Polar HRM which clocked my HR at 180-190 for most of the run. It was tough, but felt amazing!
My second run was Saturday morning and Chris and I did our run plus bleacher workout. For this run I used the runtastic app to record my mileage and I also wore my Polar HRM, I am becoming obsessed with my HR and calorie burn.
Mile 2 consisted of mostly bleacher running and the workout. Another hard workout with my HR reaching 190, but again, it felt great to back out there running!!!!
The rest of my workouts consisted of planks and spinning! This week is looking to be much of the same!!!
I am halfway through the FitFluential DietBet and I am halfway to my goal, I have a little over 2 pounds to lose in the next two weeks to win!! I KNOW I will do it!!
