I should have had this post up yesterday but St. Patrick’s Day pretty much knocked me out (more on that later in the week). We had a little too much fun on Sunday which left me in bed by 9:00 pm yesterday :/
Here is my training from last week:
Pretty successful if you ask me. I stretched, strength trained, worked on my core and ran! My leg is holding up pretty well, no complaints thus far, which is a big positive. I have been switching between two pairs of sneakers: Nike Flyknit and Mizuno, both are great, but I am favoring the Nike Flyknit. With the Nike sneakers I feel that my gait is more natural and I am definitely faster when I wear them versus the Mizuno.
I will continue to switch back and forth on the shorter runs, but I think the long runs will be exclusively in the Nike Flyknits and I am 99% positive they will be the ones I wear during the half marathon itself.
I am hoping that my training continues to go this well!
Do you prefer supportive sneakers or minimalist sneakers??
