Mondays are always crazy!!
When I think of Mondays I think of this song:
Wow I feel old! Can you believe that song was from 1986!!!
Even though Mondays are crazy, today was much more manageable compared to a normal Monday. This was the first Monday in awhile I didn’t feel stressed or behind the eight ball before I even began the day.
What has changed??
Last week was a total bomb in the exercise department, but on the bright side I got a NEW JOB!!!!! I have been wanting to move away from homecare for awhile, but unfortunately there is an overabundance of nurses on Long Island, which made my job search difficult, to say the least. A few weeks ago a training position for a dialysis nurse was brought to my attention and I applied. I have always wanted to try dialysis nursing so this seemed like a perfect opportunity to get that chance. I interviewed about 2 weeks ago and last Tuesday, I was offered the position!!!
Suffice to say I accepted. I gave my current employer notice and on October 21 I will begin my new job!!!! I am excited for the opportunity. I have been a homecare nurse for the last 6 years and although I love my patients, it was time for me to move on. I am excited for this new opportunity!!!!
As for my Weekly Workout Wrap Up, there basically isn’t one. 🙁
Last Sunday I hurt my achilles on my 10 mile run. My leg was hurting until about Thursday, but I wasn’t comfortable running on it until Sunday. I sipped the Bronx 10 miler in favor of a shorter, less stressful 3 mile with my husband. My achilles is sore, but not painful today. I am hoping to get back out there on Wednesday.
In light of this injury I basically did nothing. I didn’t even use my fitbit. I basically wallowed in the depression of my constant injuries and became a couch potato. That stops today!!!
I won this DVD set a while back on another blog, but have not used it until today! I love Tae Bo!!! I am excited to start this program because it will help me get in the strength and flexibility training I have been lacking.
I am ready for a brand new week!!! How about you??

Congratulations on your new job! And I am wishing you all the best in recovering from your injury! 🙂
